POLICIES
Class Start Time
In an effort to respect the time of all students, class will start and end on time. Students must arrive at least 5 minutes prior to their first class. Students will not be allowed into class after class starts. Please inform the instructor if you need to leave early and set up your mat by the door.
Cell Phones
Cell phones are not allowed inside the yoga room. If you are on call or need to keep your phone with you in case of an emergency, please silence your phone and be sure to inform your instructor of your situation before class.
Security
Doors to the reception area will be locked during class unless a Peak Yoga team member is at the front desk. Even with these precautions in place, we recommend that you do not bring valuables into the yoga studio. We do not allow any personal items such as purses, cellphones, etc. into the yoga room. Please plan accordingly. Peak Yoga is not responsible for your personal property.
Grooming & Cleanliness
Please ensure your body and feet are clean when attending class. Refrain from using perfumes or scented lotions as some students are highly sensitive and/or allergic to strong scents.
Healthy Environment
Please refrain from coming to class with a cold/flu/illness. Do not attend class with open wounds.
Dress
Ideal clothing for women includes: leggings, capris or shorts and a tank top or sports bra. Women are not permitted to practice fully topless. Please refrain from wearing bikini bathing suits or underwear.
Ideal clothing for men includes: shorts (no boxer shorts/briefs or underwear) and optionally a t-shirt or tank top. If wearing loose-fitting shorts, we recommend an under-layer of compression shorts.
No shoes in the yoga room.
We recommend not wearing socks either, as bare feet will slip less than socks on a yoga mat.
TEMPERATURE
All classes have some added heat and humidity, and some classes more than others. Instructors do their best to maintain an level of heat which matches the class description, but as the number of people in the room increases, so does the heat and humidity in the room. Students are asked to refrain from touching the thermostat, humidifiers, deck doors and windows. The studio has "micro-climates", so if you'd like a hotter or cooler place in the room please ask the instructor.
Pregnancy
If you are pregnant, please discuss with your doctor before class if yoga is appropriate for your body and how to modify to keep you and your baby safe. Most of our instructors are NOT certified in prenatal yoga and can not advise on WHAT to modify, but can suggest HOW to modify. For example, if you tell your instructor that you want to avoid twists or forward folds, he/she can offer modifications or alternatives to those types of postures. Feel free to call ahead to discuss with us, and please tell your instructor of your pregnancy as well.
Online Pre-registration
Pre-registration is like reserving a table in a restaurant. If you don't show we do not charge you.
We offer 100% of our inventory to be booked online. If you see a class that indicates waitlist only, the class is currently full and students on the waitlist will be added as others cancel.
Note: frequently many of the waitlist students are able to attend class, so we recommend showing up when waitlisted.

Lost and found items are donated monthly to FIRC. Peak Yoga is not responsible for any items left at the studio.
